Car crash death man is named

A pedestrian who died following a city centre collision in Lancashire has been named.
Father-of-five Sadhu Singh, 75, from Morecambe, was taken to hospital after colliding with a vehicle in Lancaster at 12.47pm on Monday, but later died of his injuries.

The accident happened close to the junctions of Queen Street and Spring Garden Street and police closed the road for several hours, causing long queues.

Retired businessman Mr Singh leaves five sons and a widow.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact PC John Stephenson on 01524 63333.
