Police are investigating a suspected arson attack on a taxi in Chorley.
A fire crew from the town found the Mercedes Vito on fire in Colyton Road with the passenger compartment well ablaze at around 4am on Sunday.

Peter Bamber, watch manager of Chorley Fire Station, said: "The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the police and the fire service and it is suspected that the fire may have been started deliberately."

A spokeswoman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said there were no injuries as there was no-one in the car at the time of the fire which needed two hose reels to put out.

Call Chorley Police on 01257 269021 or Chorley Fire Station on 01257 262919 if you can help with the investigation. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
