I've just heard that we are looking at getting Victor Anachebe on loan from Everton.

I would just like to wish every one at Deepdale luck for this season and the fans must get behind the team, lets all be apart of TEAM PRESTON. Hope Chris Brown returns soon.

Irvine was interviewed by SSN yesterday and it was posted this morning.

He said that, "I would love Vic to come here but it is very doubtful considering the way things are with Everton at the moment."

When you consider they have very few strikers on their books i think we have more or less no chance of getting Big Vic Anichebe. Everton have just sold Andy Johnson and so they are short up top meaniong they won't want to lend anyone anything until they have their own house in order.

They only have Yakubu, Vaughan, Anichebe and Lukas Jutkiewicz and the latter is unproven. So for them to loan out Anichebe to us i think trhey would need to bring in at least 2 more strikers before the season starts.

Hmmm no smoke without fire.

I guess Moyes will move into overdrive to get a striker or 2 now that AJ has gone. We all know what Moyes was like in the transfer mkt, he will know who he wants and how much they are worth, i.e. Mbia and/or Smith etc. It's just a case of whether he gets them or not.
