Watch a video report as the steel crossbar is installed at Deepdale
Preston's skyline has changed forever as the fourth stand at Deepdale begins to take shape.
A group of Preston North End supporters gathered on Tuesday to watch as a steel frame crossbar was lifted into place on the Lowthorpe Road site.
The new stand, to be named after PNE's famous 1880s Invincibles side, will bring the capacity of Deepdale up to around 24,000.
A PNE spokesman said: "It's been a long time coming. We have had levelled for a while, now it's good to see things taking shape and you can start seeing what it's going to look like."
When the new Invincibles Pavilion is opened next summer, it will complete a 12-year redevelopment of the historic stadium which started in August 1996 with the official opening of the Finney Stand.
