Penwortham's Jackson stumped by calf

Penwortham wicket-keeper David Jackson, above, hopes to be back behind the stumps tomorrow after missing his first game for 25 years.

A calf injury, suffered in the warm-up, forced him to sit out Penwortham's Moore and Smalley Palace Shield Premier Division victory over Fylde at Factory Lane last weekend.

Penwortham's secretary Judith Walmsley said: "It is an amazing record, and David has proved an incredible servant to Penwortham for many years."
