Unbeaten Longridge Town stormed back from two goals down to share the spoils with league leaders Norcross and Warbreck in a pulsating West Lancashire League clash.
Town, who went into the game in fifth in Division One, started the game brightly despite playing into a strong wind.
Rick Coar, who enjoyed a fine battle with Norcross’ Gary Pett all afternoon, came the closest to breaking the deadlock but his left foot shot from a tight angle rattled back off the post.
St Valle and Coar both had decent chances shortly after but fired over when well placed.
Longridge were taking the game to the league leaders but were then hit by a sucker punch as Norcross midfielder Clark strode on to a fine pass to fire low past the home keeper.
And Clark doubled the lead shortly before half-time firing an unstoppable left foot shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
It was harsh on Longridge but within 15 minutes of the second period, they were level.
On 54 minutes, Coar did brilliantly to bury a header from St Valle’s angled cross into the top corner.
And then Guy Heywood smashed home from seven yards after the ball fell kindly to him in the box.
Both sides battled admirably on a heavy pitch and in gusting winds but neither could find a winner in a lively last quarter.
Longridge moved up to fourth in the table and are now 10 points behind Norcross, but with four games in hand.
