Holy Cross Catholic High School Year Seven and Eights won the Chorley Schools’ Swimming Gala for the third year in a row.

Top performances came from Jacob Hughes in butterfly and the relays, and Holly McHugh in backstroke in competitive swimming, which is for club swimmers in the four swimming strokes of fly, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. Meanwhile, students Chris Dearden and Mackenzie Corthwaite excelled in the challenge events, which are for non-club swimmers and include obstacle races, swimming in items of clothing and with swimming aids.

This Chorley Swimming Gala is an annual competition held by Chorley SSP in conjunction with Chorley Marlins SC.
