Two Lancashire golfers helped England Girls secure their seventh successive home international victory.
England’s perfect score of three wins out of three ensured they retained the Stroyan Cup for the seventh year running.
After beating Ireland and Scotland, England thumped Wales 7-2 in Donabate, in Ireland, to seal victory.
Hollie Muse, from West Lancashire, finished the tournament unbeaten after winning her foursomes match with partner Inci Mehmet.
The 14-year-old staged a fine comeback to halve her singles clash, fighting back from three down with birdies on the 13th 15th and 17th hole to secure a draw with Jordan Ryan.
And she was relieved by the result. She said: “We really needed that half point so to come back was brilliant. It was amazing to win the trophy – it is all down to teamwork. We all gelled so well and wanted to win again.”
Clitheroe’s Sophie Lamb, with partner Alice Hewson, beat Welsh duo Megan Lockett and Georgia Lewis as England stormed to three wins out of three in the foursomes round.
And 16-year-old Lamb beat Lockett again to secure victory in her singles match.
