Fylde all set for title showdown

It's winner-takes-all at Kellamergh Park tomorrow when AFC Fylde take on New Mills in the final game of the Vodkat League Premier Division season, which is doubling up as the title decider.

Mick Fuller selects from a fully-fit squad after two vital wins in a week, at Runcorn (6-0) and Bacup Borough (2-0).

New Mills are top by three points and only need a draw.

But at least Fylde know exactly what they need to do to clinch promotion – win, as then they will be promoted to the UniBond League Division One North on goal difference.

It's a fantastic finale to another exciting season, and the club hopes all the fans who went to Wembley last May for the FA Vase final success will come and support the club again.

Kick-off is 3pm. Admission is 5 for adults, 3 OAPs and 2 juniors aged 8-15 years.

Under-8s can go in for free when accompanied by an adult.

Whoever are champions at full-time will be presented with the league trophy.

Club president David Haythornthwaite said: "This game is the biggest game since I got involved with the club, without a doubt.

"The FA Vase was special, but this would represent a fantastic achievement because it's been a long season over 42 games to win the ultimate prize of promotion.

"I believe this is a great opportunity to get into the UniBond League, and I hope we can attract a big crowd and can get the right result for everyone connected with AFC Fylde."
