There were long queues outside Deepdale on Tuesday morning as Preston North End supporters got their hands on tickets for the play-off semi-final games against Chesterfield.

Seats for both legs went on sale, with PNE having a 2,000 allocation for Thursday’s away leg at the Proact Stadium.

The return leg is at Deepdale on Sunday afternoon (12.15pm).

It is the club’s 10th time in the play-offs in 26 years, Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at Colchester seeing automatic promotion slip from their grasp.

Tickets for the away leg are priced £20 adults (19 to 64-years-old), £13 senior citizens (65 and over) and 15 to 18 year-olds, and £9 for 14-year-olds and under.

They were available to ambassadors and season ticket holders on Tuesday, with general sale on Wednesday to those on the club’s database.

For the home leg, ambassadors and season ticket holders can buy tickets and additional tickets on Tuesday - their seats are reserved until close of business on Thursday.

General sale of other seats starts on Wednesday with no limit on the number of tickets.

Prices for the home leg are £20 adults, £12 senior citizens, young adults and full-time students, and £5 for Under-16s.

As against Swindon last month, one third of the Bill Shankly Kop will be open for Preston fans.
