Preston North End have extended Callum Robinson’s youth loan from Aston Villa until January 3.
The 19-year-old striker joined PNE in September on a 33-day loan which ran until after Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Port Vale at Deepdale.
Robinson was a 70th-minute substitute for Kyel Reid against Vale, putting in another lively cameo appearance.
North End manager Simon Grayson said: “We are delighted that the lad wants to stay here and that Aston Villa have allowed him to do it.
“He has shown what he is capable of doing, he has got great ability, works hard for the team and is thoroughly enjoying his time at the club.
“With this busy schedule, to have as many players available to us is a boost.
“We are really grateful that we have got Callum again.”
During the international break, Robinson was part of the England Under-20s squad which won a four-team tournament in Holland.
