Preston North End have made their second summer signing after agreeing a deal with Huddersfield Town defender Calum Woods.
Woods will join PNE on a two-year contract on July 1, the right-back having been released by the Terriers last month.
The 27-year-old started his career at Liverpool before joining Dunfermline in 2006, Woods making 153 appearances for the Scottish club.
He joined Huddersfield in July 2011 and played 81 games for them - a number of those during Simon Grayson’s time in charge.
PNE boss Grayson said: “I worked with Calum at Huddersfield and he is a real good lad.
“He is a versatile player and can play in either full back position, centre back and even in midfield if asked to do, so when I saw that he was available, I just felt he was a good acquisition to have in the squad.”
Last Friday, North End signed Leyton Orient goalkeeper Jamie Jones on a two-year deal.
