Preston North End winger Chris Humphrey has been named in the Jamaica squad for next month’s CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament being held in the United States and Canada.
Earlier in the month he was included in a provisional 35-man roster with him now having made the cut to the 23-man squad.
Humphrey is one of eight English-based players in the Jamaica party – they are in a group with Costa Rica, Canada and El Salvador.
His call-up means he will be miss much of PNE’s pre-season campaign.
But his time training and playing with the Reggae Boyz will see him get the necessary fitness work done.
