Preston North End assistant manager Glynn Snodin is pleased with the pre-season programme which has been put together to get the squad in shape for next term.
Seven friendlies have been arranged, three of them at Deepdale against Premier League sides Liverpool, Burnley and Leicester.
The players report back on July 3 which is 12 days before their first warm-up game at Chorley.
Snodin said: “I’m enjoying the break we are having but it will only be on July 3 when we’re back with the lads that we can stop thinking about last season.
“The players will work hard and will be putting in place a base for 10 months of football.
“Last season we just fell a bit short but we will be aiming for that bit extra this time which is needed to get over the line.”
Until pre-season training starts, Snodin will get his fix of football from watching the World Cup.
He said: “I will put my feet up and be glued to the television.
“I fancy Brazil to win it with them being the host country and able to adapt to the conditions.
“I’ve got a sneaky feeling that Belgium will do well.
“They have got some great individual players and if they all gel together then they could be quite a handful.”
