Preston North End have announced a shake-up of their youth department.
Nick Harrison has been appointed as PNE’s academy manager under the new Elite Player Performance Plan system.
He’d been in charge of the youth team on a caretaker basis since Graham Alexander and Chris Lucketti left to join Fleetwood Town in December.
Joining Harrison’s staff will be former PNE right-back Andy Fensome and Stuart Delaney.
Fensome will be North End’s professional development phase coach (Under-18s), having been the Under-16s coach at the centre of excellence for a number of years.
Delaney has joined from Accrington and will be head of coaching and youth development, a role which incorporates Under-12s through to Under-16s.
It marks a return to PNE for Delaney who worked on the youth staff under Gary Peters.
Another part of the restructure sees current Under-13 coach Andy Livingstone also take up the role of head of academy recruitment.
Harrison said: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to take the youth set up of Preston North End forward.
“I have had the chance to work with some very good people in the past and can use what I have learnt from them, along with my own ideas, to try and ensure the very best future for the club.”
