Preston North End midfielders Alan Browne and Paul Gallagher both underwent hernia operations on Wednesday.
Browne’s injury was diagnosed towards the end of the season, while Gallagher played for much of the campaign with the problem.
Gallagher wrote on Twitter ‘All sorted now, best sleep I’ve had in 15 years’.
Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Browne posted a picture on Instagram of himself in a hospital bed.
Browne wrote: “Operation went well thankfully.
“Thanks for all the good luck/get well messages, means a lot. Recovery starts now.”
Both are set to be fit for the start of pre-season training on June 30.
