Preston North End’s long-serving kitman Russ Rigby was honoured by his past and present managers at Deepdale.

Rigby, who is retiring in the summer, was presented with a framed, signed shirt by David Moyes and Simon Grayson.

The presentation took place during a sportsman’s dinner in support of Rainbow House, PNE’s official charity partner for the 2015/16 campaign.

‘An Evening with David Moyes’, attended by the North End squad, coaching staff, ex-players and fans, saw former Lilywhites boss Moyes answer questions about his time as a player and manager.

Moyes paid tribute to Johan Cruyff, who passed away on Thursday, recounting playing against the Dutch legend when Celtic faced Ajax in a European Cup clash in 1982.

Rainbow House offers support, education and rehab to children and adults with neurological conditions.
