Preston North End have appointed Simon Grayson as their new manager this afternoon.
The 43-year-old former Blackpool, Leeds United and Huddersfield Town boss will replace Graham Westley in the Deepdale hotseat.
Grayson has been in talks with North End officials and is believed to have met the players at the club’s Springfields Training Ground today.
The former Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers full-back arrives at Deepdale with an impressive pedigree as a manager in League One.
He has presided over promotion campaigns for every club he has been a manager of.
His most recent success was last season when he guided Huddersfield Town to promotion to the Championships via the play-offs.
He was sacked by the Terriers earlier this year after a 12-match winless run.
