MEET THE BOSS: Sean Dyche was appointed Burnley manager in October 2012, taking over from Eddie Howe, who had returned to Bournemouth.

The following season, he guided the Clarets to promotion to the Premier League. When Burnley were relegated after one season in the top flight, Dyche was tasked with trying to lead them back.

They come to Deepdale in second place, having led the division until recently.

Dyche’s previous job in management was at Watford in the 2011/12 season, a club he also played for.

MEET THE REF:

Premier League referee Kevin Friend takes charge of PNE’s clash with Burnley, and he
also officiated the reverse fixture at Turf Moor in December. Mr Friend has refereed 28 games this season. He has booked
86 players and shown six red cards.
