MEET THE BOSS:

Paul Lambert was named as Blackburn’s new boss last November and his first game in charge was the 2-1 win over PNE at Deepdale.

The Scotsman’s previous job had been as Aston Villa manager, with him in post at Villa Park for almost three years. Prior to that, Lambert managed Norwich City, guiding the Canaries to back-to-back promotions from League One through to the Premier League. He has also managed Colchester, Wycombe and Livingston. As a player, Lambert wore the colours of St Mirren, Dortmund, Celtic and Livingston.

MEET THE REF:

Experienced Football League referee Eddie Ilderton is in charge of Preston’s visit to Blackburn. He was in the middle for PNE’s 1-1 draw with Bristol City earlier in the season. This is his 13th campaign on the league list, with him having taken charge of 26 games this season.
