Commemorative prints of Preston North End and England football legend Sir Tom Finney will go on sale at the club’s store.

The prints – created by Preston artist David Robinson – have been drawn in a 1950s comic book style and celebrate the story of Sir Tom’s life both inside and outside football.

Following in the tradition of charity fundraising which was such an important part of Sir Tom’s life, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the prints are being donated to Preston’s Space Centre.

But with a limited edition of just 500 prints, football fans will need to act quickly if they want to get their hands on this unique piece of football nostalgia

Artist David Robinson said: “It is an honour to draw someone like Sir Tom Finney not only because of his football greatness but also because he was such a gentleman and he did so much for Preston.

“I wanted to capture something of Sir Tom’s winning sprit and the graceful way he played football and lived his life. Hopefully the prints are a tribute to Sir Tom and his life story.”

Sir Tom’s son Brian said: “Dad would have been very proud but humble too. The prints are a lovely tribute to him As a family we have been very moved by all the tributes to Sir Tom.

“He clearly touched many lives and that is something to be truly thankful for.”
