Preston North End have allowed winger Lee Holmes to join Exeter City on loan for the rest of the season.
Holmes, 27, has made just one appearance for PNE this term, that a brief substitute appearance in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy game against Port Vale in October.
He suffered a torn pectoral muscle on the first day of pre-season training last July and struggled to force his way back into contention after that.
A Bosman signing from Southampton in the summer of 2102, Holmes has made 75 appearances for North End, scoring six goals.
Earlier this season he spent a month on loan at Portsmouth.
Holmes, who is out of contract at Deepdale in June, is likely to make his debut for the Grecians against Stevenage at St James Park on Tuesday night.
