North End land home cup tie (including full draw)

Preston North End have drawn Colchester United at home in the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON.

The draw against the League One outfit is a far cry from last season's third round draw when the Lilywhites entertained Premier League giants Liverpool.

Alan Irvine's side will face Adrian Boothroyd's Colchester on the weekend of January 2 or 3.

The pick of the third round draw was Manchester United's home tie against either Kettering Town or Leeds United who drew 1-1 on Sunday.

Holders Chelsea will face Watford at home.
