Southport have appointed former PNE first-team coach Dino Maamria as their new manager.
Maamria replaces Paul Cardan, who left Port by mutual consent on Monday after a poor run of results.
The 44-year-old Tunisian has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.
Southport chairman Charlie Clapham said: “ I have known Dino a long time, our supporters know about Dino’s strengths and the excellent career he has had as player, coach, assistant-manager and manager.
“Dino is a very ambitious young manager with a wealth of experience.
“He has real belief that he can and will take the club forward.”
Maamria had three spells as a player with Southport.
He was on Graham Westley’s coaching staff at Stevenage and Preston, leaving Deepdale in 2013 when Westley was sacked.
