United have not made offer for superstar striker - club

Manchester United or Barcelona have NOT made a bid for Europe's top striker David Villa.

The Spain star's club Valencia say have not received any offers from either club.

The frontman has been the subject of intense transfer speculation with Real Madrid, Barcelona, United and Chelsea all being linked with the frontman.

It had been reported that the European champions have made a 45million euros bid for Villa while speculation mounted that United offered 46.8m euros.

"I want to make it clear, we have no offer for Villa and we don't understand why people are insisting this," Valencia spokesman Jordi Bruixola told Marca.
