Striker would consider City move
Shola Ameobi's agent has revealed the out-of-favour Newcastle striker "would consider" an approach from Norwich City.
The 26-year-old made just eight appearances for the Magpies last season and spent the final two months of the campaign on loan at promotion-destined Stoke.
However, the 6ft 2in forward's future has been the subject of constant media speculation, with the latest reports suggesting Newcastle have accepted a bid from local rivals Ipswich Town.
But a potential Carrow Road reunion with former Magpies boss Glenn Roeder has also hit the rumour mill.
Agent Steven Denos told the Pink'Un: "He's not going to the MLS, that's not an option we're looking at. We've had no contact from Middlesbrough and no offer in from Norwich City.
"It's certainly something we would consider if Norwich approached us, we consider everything. But Norwich haven't done anything yet. If Glenn Roeder decides he'd like to take it further then we'll have a conversation."
