Blackburn's Jersey-based owners are to stage a crisis meeting in the next 48 hours to discuss the financial nightmare of relegation.

DAILY TELEGRAPH: Chelsea intend to be self-funding on an annual basis from next July and no longer reliant on interest-free loans from their billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich. Also: Robin van Persie has denied being the player who William Gallas singled out in his infamous critique of his Arsenal team-mates.
THE GUARDIAN: Gianfranco Zola gave Chelsea a multitude of reasons to revere him as their greatest ever player. Last night he handed them one to celebrate his entry into management as his West Ham side limited Liverpool's rise to the top to just a single point.
THE INDEPENDENT: It's not only Liverpool's owners who are struggling to find lines of credit. Also: Senior Chelsea players have pointed the finger at Florent Malouda as one of the team's major underperforming stars and there is a feeling in the club that Luiz Felipe Scolari should pick Wayne Bridge on the left wing instead.
