Spurs fail in £10m bid for Pompey star
Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be on the trail of Portsmouth's Lassana Diarra, according to reports.
Juande Ramos had hoped that a bid of around 10m would be enough to lure the Pompey star to White Hart Lane due to a get-out-clause in his contract.
However, The Daily Telegraph claims that Portsmouth are determined to keep the star and would not consider an offer for one of their star players.
The club's chief executive Peter Storrie said:
"Lassana is one of our most important players and only arrived at the club in January.
"He is not for sale, and that's the end of it," he told the paper.
