Big Sam likes Ruud
Blackburn Rovers have been linked with a bold move for former Manchester United star Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is looking for a replacement for Roque Santa Cruz who moved to Manchester City for 18 million last week.
The Dutchman is set to leave current club Real Madrid and Allardyce told the Mirror he would have to take a drop in wages if he were to move to Blackburn.
He said: "We wouldn't be able to match his salary at Real even if there was no transfer fee involved . But maybe he wants to come and play in England again and take less of a salary. If he does, we'd be interested."
