In-form Morecambe have their eyes on a third successive win tonight when they travel to Rotherham.
The Shrimps are currently in the middle of a purple patch which has seen them go within a point of the League Two play-offs.
They have won three and drawn one of their last four league games – the latest victory arriving at the Globe Arena in a 1-0 win over Southend United.
Manager Jim Bentley said: “We have a lot of momentum at the moment and we will be looking to continue this great run that we are on tonight against Rotherham.
“I thought we got what we deserved on Saturday, especially second half.
“We dictated play and created a lot of chances. We showed great patience and passed the ball well.”
Meanwhile, in non-league, Bamber Bridge will be hoping to end a torrid run of three successive defeats when they play host to Cammell Laird at Irongate this evening.
Neil Crowe’s men were thumped 4-1 on Saturday at home to New Mills and they are in desperate need of points after dropping to fifth from bottom.
Elsewhere in the First Division North, Lancaster City welcome Radcliffe Borough to Giant Axe, while third-placed Clitheroe are away to Salford City.
Fresh from Saturday’s 6-1 thrashing of Harrogate Railway Athletic, Burscough travel to Trafford tonight.
In the Premier Division, Chorley have the chance to move into second place if they can defeat Matlock Town away from home.
