Preston North End midfielder Neil Kilkenny has won his appeal against the red card he was shown in the midweek draw against Bradford City.
Kilkenny was sent-off together with Bantams winger Kyle Bennett after a clash in the first half of the Valley Parade contest.
Referee Stuart Attwell dismissed the pair for violent conduct on the basis that they had raised their arms towards one another.
But North End lodged an appeal to the FA, with video evidence supporting their claim that Kilkenney did not raise his hand to the neck or head of Bennett.
A disciplinary panel heard the appeal in London on Thursday afternoon and overturned the Australian’s red card and three-match ban.
An appeal by Bradford saw Bennett’s suspension reduced to one game.
