City line up £55m strike pair
Manchester City are on the brink of a £55 million swoop for Carlos Tevez and Samuel Eto'o, according to the News of the World.
If the deals for Barcelona striker Eto'o, who is expected to fetch 25 million, and Argentine Tevez, who sensationally rejected an offer to stay with Premier League champions Manchester United, it will take City's summer spending to 90 million.
But the Sunday Mirror is reporting that the deal with Cameroon talisman Eto'o may fail unless the European champions drop their asking price, which the paper says is 40 million.
