MEET THE BOSS

Former Spurs full-back Chris Hughton is the man who has guided Brighton to the top of the Championship.

He was appointed on New Year’s Eve last year, succeeding Sami Hyypia. Under Hughton’s charge, the Seagulls reached safety last season. This is the 56-year-old’s fourth job in management, having been in charge at Newcastle, Birmingham and Norwich.

During his playing days, Hughton played 300 times for Spurs and was in their side which twice won the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982, and lifted the UEFA Cup.

MEET THE REFEREE:

The man in the middle at the Amex Stadium is Andy Davies from Hampshire. This is only the second PNE game he has refereed, the other being the 2-0 defeat at Leyton Orient in November 2012. Davies’ 10 games this term have seen 33 yellows and three reds.
