Albert Adomah fired the Londoners ahead after 18 minutes from Paul Mitchell's pass.
Rene Howe tested Lee Harrison in Barnet's goal but Morecambe drew level when ex-Celtic man O'Carroll smashed home a left-foot volley past Harrison's right hand just four minutes before the break.
Morecmabe held on for a valuable point and are placed 18th in League Two.
