The man killed by the 90mph that slammed Lancashire on Thursday has been named.
Martin Hunt, 58, of Broxbourne, Essex died at the Royal Preston Hospital, hours after being hit by a falling canopy as he filled his car with petrol.

He was believed to have been travelling home with his son when tragedy struck.

The accident happened at the Sainsbury's store on the A6 in Bamber Bridge, near Preston, when the canopy over the petrol pumps came crashing down in high winds.

Mr Hunt was taken to hospital with a serious arm injury but his condition deteriorated and he died early on Thursday night.

The coroner has been informed of the death.
