Runners pound the streets of Preston (with slideshow)

Hundreds of runners and riders pounded the streets of Preston to take part in the city's On the Move festival.
The event, which was held throughout the city centre, saw professional and amateur runners and elite cyclists tackle road races cheered on by the public and street entertainers.

Great event but why on earth were the farmers market traders hidden on the market area?

There was no promotion whatsoever of the fact that local producers would be there and no-one would have been able to stumble upon them.

I said to the traders that Fishergate and Friargate were really busy and they couldn't beleive it as they had hardly seen a soul. If we are to ever have a successful farmers market people need to know about it.
Who was responsible for the debacle?

'Shout Preston' - an internet directory website was responsible for promoting the event.
