Not just any dream will do for these singing sensations – they want to raise a bucketload of cash for the favourite charity of a Preston sporting hero.
An empty shop in The Mall shopping centre was awash with colour as talented performers Rob McVeigh and Chloe Walker dazzled shoppers and very special guest Sir Tom Finney.

The twosome showcased their talents in a sneak preview of what is set to be a dazzling duet performance at next month's variety show spectacular A Big Knight Out in honour of PNE legend Sir Tom.

Rob, who made it through to the final six of the TV talent show Any Dream Will Do, wore an elaborate coat of many colours, adorned with the Mall's logo, as he blasted out showtunes, including the title song from the Andrew Lloyd Webber show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

And 15-year-old Chloe, from Bartle, who recently won the national search for Talented Youngster of the Year, looked every bit the star as she belted out some hits.

Sir Tom has specially invited the talented Kirkham Grammar School student to perform at the show on November 23 and hopes that her appearance will help her to reach her goal of working in showbusiness full-time.

Chloe said: "It is an honour to be performing alongside the stars in the show. It is a real privilege to perform in front of Sir Tom and it is all going to such a great cause."

The event, which is being held at Preston Guild Hall, is being headlined by Frank Carson accompanied by an array of household names including Katherine Kelly (Becky in Coronation Street) and The Cheeky Monkeys (ITV's Britain's Got Talent finalists).

More acts are set to be announced in the coming weeks for the show which will raise funds for the Sir Tom Finney Alzheimer's Appeal and Mall Cares 2009 charity Baby Beat.

Tickets are £22 and £26 and £50 (VIP) and are available from The Mall Customer Service desk on 01772 204202 and the Guild Hall Box Office on 01772 258858. Concessions available at £15.
