Watch Alan Irvine talk ahead of North End's trip to Watford
Preston North End have been warned to expect an aerial blitzkrieg from high-flying Watford on Saturday.
Manager Alan Irvine has told his players to prepare for a bombardment from the Championship promotion favourites, with striker Darius Henderson and centre-half Danny Shittu the chief targets.
Henderson has 11 goals this season and Shittu eight, mainly from set-pieces.
"They possess a huge, physical presence and this will be an
extremely tough game for us," said Irvine before the PNE squad set out for Hertfordshire today.
"We might have beaten them at Deepdale, but this will be a much more difficult test for us."
Irvine is expected to give the nod to central defensive pair Youl Mawene and Liam Chilvers to deal with the threat from the skies, despite in-form Sean St Ledger being available again after his ban.
They dealt well with 6ft 5in frontman Kanu in the FA Cup tie with Portsmouth last weekend.

But the 27-year-old is back and posing major problems for
defences at corners and free-kicks.
Irvine said: "He is a huge threat, a massive threat at set-pieces. We will need to be very diligent when we are defending against him.
"Watford are a good side and they will definitely be contenders for automatic promotion."
With second-placed taking on fourth-bottom, North End are hoping they can maintain their record of performing better against the top sides.
Last weekend's impressive display against Premier League Pompey has given Irvine renewed hope of surviving the drop.
He said: "It is always disappointing when you lose a game like we did on Sunday.
"But you have to reflect on the performance as well as the result and clearly it was very encouraging.
"We know we played quite well. We have had a lot of praise for how well we did, and that makes everyone feel that little bit better.
"The players have trained well, they're in good spirits. So, hopefully, we can take that into Saturday and pick up a good result."
