Preston North End's FA Cup clash with Liverpool has certainly got the X-factor after being handed a prime time Saturday evening slot on network TV.
The Deepdale tie will be shown live on ITV1 on January 3, kicking off at 5.25pm.
And North End have announced the Reds will bring the Kop with them – visiting fans have been given the whole of the Bill Shankly end.
Tickets for the match go on sale tomorrow at 9am with season ticket holders and shareholders among those getting first shout.
Liverpool will have an allocation of just less than 6,000, leaving around 18,000 for home supporters – a ratio of three to one.
"We are sure that is going to be enough for our fans," PNE general manager Ben Rhodes told the Evening Post.
"It will certainly be the biggest turnout of Preston supporters at Deepdale in my lifetime."
Meanwhile, North End boss Alan Irvine has been shortlisted for the Championship manager of the month award for November after clocking up three wins, two draws and a defeat.
Also in the frame are Wolves' Mick McCarthy, Alex McLeish from Birmingham and Neil Warnock at Crystal Palace.
The result will be announced on Sky Sports News at 1.20pm on Thursday.
Preston will bank a broadcast fee of £160,000 from television and £9,000 from radio for the Liverpool game.
Added to their share of bumper gate receipts from a sell-out crowd and prize money from the tournament, North End stand to rake in between £350,000 and £400,000 from the cup tie, a welcome boost for the club's ailing finances.
Normal matchday prices will apply with the ticket office extending its opening hours to meet demand.
Queues are expected at Deepdale tomorrow when tickets go on sale.
Priority will go to Preston's 8,000 season ticket holders, half-season ticket holders, shareholders and any registered fans who also book for the Doncaster Rovers fixture a week tonight.
Purchases can be made either in person at the box office or on the telephone on 0870 442 1966. No sales will be made online or by e-mail.
Season ticket holders will be able to claim their regular seat until the close of business on Tuesday, December 9.
All sales are one-per-person, with the club stressing season ticket holders who are also shareholders and buy a ticket for the Doncaster game will still only qualify for one, not three.
Any reserved seats which remain unclaimed by the start of business on Wednesday, December 10, will be put on general sale at 9am that day.
But all supporters must be on the PNE database to purchase a ticket.
North End say they have given the whole of the Shankly Kop to Liverpool to guarantee a full house.
Had the stand been divided between home and away, as happens at Championship games, between 500 and 600 seats would have had to be left vacant as a segregation strip between the rival fans.
"We just felt that to guarantee a complete sell-out and make sure every seat in the ground is available then we had to give the whole of the Kop to Liverpool," said Rhodes.
"Obviously this is a massive game for a club like ours and we want to maximise the revenue opportunity it brings.
"We know Liverpool will sell 6,000 tickets without any problem.
"And in fact the club are very pleased with their allocation, which is probably more than they would have been given at some other grounds.
"They are also over the moon with the price of tickets here – £20 in Premier League terms is pretty cheap."
Ticket office staff will be on duty until 9pm tomorrow and Thursday and then 6pm on Friday.
The office will open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and from 11am to 4pm pm on Sunday.
Monday will be 9am to 8pm, Tuesday (the day of the Doncaster fixture) will be 9am to kick-off time and Wednesday will be 9am to 9pm. Preston are also offering corporate hospitality at £1,250 for an executive box, £100 per person for the Great Room, £75 for the Invincibles Lounge and £55 for the Sir Tom Finney Lounge and Guild Lounge.
But all hospitality must be booked in conjunction with another silver or bronze category game.
