Preston North End have drawn Colchester United at home in the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON.

Alan Irvine's side will face Adrian Boothroyd's Colchester on the weekend of January 2 or 3.

The pick of the third round draw was Manchester United's home tie against either Kettering Town or Leeds United who drew 1-1 on Sunday.

Full Third Round draw:
Tottenham v Peterborough

Brentford v Doncaster

Middlesbrough v Manchester City

Stoke v York

Notts County v Forest Green Rovers

Huddersfield v West Brom

Sheffield United v Queens Park Rangers

MK Dons v Burnley

Chelsea v Watford

Nottingham Forest v Birmingham

Preston v Colchester

West Ham v Arsenal

Aston Villa v Blackburn

Portsmouth v Coventry

Sunderland v Oxford or Barrow

Wigan v Hull

Everton v Carlisle

Sheffield Wednesday v Crystal Palace

Tranmere or Aldershot v Wolves

Blackpool v Ipswich

Fulham v Swindon

Stockport or Torquay v Brighton

Scunthorpe v Barnsley

Southampton v Rotherham or Luton

Bristol City v Cardiff

Tough, but a great chance to progress

Not the best draw in terms of finances. To be honest the draw had an element of Boring to it, Bar the Man Utd draw, I don't think any of the games are crowd pleaser's. I think attendances will be down this FA cup 3rd round on Last years. Preston will get about 9,000 if they lucky. Which means costs of putting the game on will give a loss. We need to get past Colchester to get a better tie in the 4th Round.

Make it a tenner and just have 3 stands open. That should keep costs down. Give Colchester the paddock and charge then £20.

I don't think we'd get 9,000 if we let everybody in for nowt! We may scrape 5000 if we reduce prices to a fiver.
But seriously if we can't sell a paltry 1700 tickets for a huge derby against our main rivals, we have got problems.
Something needs to happen at this club, to inject a bit of excitement back in the place, because at the moment interest amongst the fans (especially the fairweather types) is fading fast.
Sugar Daddy or Promotion please! Not bloomin' likely though!

Post 4, i went a couple of seasons ago, you might not have been, Bamber Bridges facilities are better.
It's a disgrace for away fans £24 to get in, and it's live on TV. I'll be watchin fro my lovely warm living room and spend money to go to West Brom with my two kids instead of that pit.

On the F.A cup gutted we didn't get a better draw, but a home tie at least, let's see what they charge not sure F A rules allow you to lower your prices as they want there 25% of the gate receipts ( greedy )

We'll be on though, cheer up for goodness sake, people on here tend to be depressed half the time and always see the glass half full

I think you meant half empty post 6. But post 4 we only have about 60 tickets left and they'll be sold by tomorrow so why are you moaning? Particularly as it's £25 to stand in the open, rain lashing down. You have to be slightly mad to do it.

Finney...You would rather watch your team on telly than go to the match? Pathetic. Grow a pair the lot of ya. Pool to win and increase the gap on the team who boast a lovely stadium and crippling debt.

P.s: No clapsticks allowed.

Post 8 and your home gates are? and did we charge your lot £24.50 or £16.50/£14.50 to sit in a nice covered stand, er No!
Why dont your fans voluntarily give up one of your two and a half stands to away fans then so that you can show the world what a fantastic hardy lot you are.
