Preston North End's Alan Irvine is not ruling out activity in the loan market as they attempt to fight their way out of the relegation battle.
Irvine could yet swoop for new players - either in or out – before next month's transfer deadline, although he insists he is not anxious to do business.

He said: "I will consider anything, both in or out.

Obviously we don't want to end up leaving ourselves short and I wouldn't do that.

"But while I would consider things, I am not actively looking for anything."

a bleeding striker would probably mean he is injured. we can do without more crocks....

unless it was a mild nose bleed whilst he was asleep in bed. that shouldn't hinder him.

Although Karl Hawley is looking better and better each game id like to see Mellor being given a run in the game from the start. On sunday against pompey he looked a real threat up front with Brown , Al give him a start he may be just what we need to start winning games and get us out of this mess .

Theres a rumour going round about a pay as you play clause in mellors contract JW... Dont know if its true or not but it would explain why he isnt getting much first team action,
christ he scores for fun in the ressies, yet cannot get a start for the seniors... whats going on..?

Dave. Well spotted, They must pay Mellor in Pies and the reason he's lost weight is, he's not playing so he's not getting paid. He hasn't been good enough YET. That's why he STARTS on the bench, not pay as you play. The best I've seen him play for North End was last Sunday, I can't remember any other game apart from the friendly against Everton that he looked the part.
