Joe Anyinsah hopes to settle at Deepdale this season after being
Preston North End's loan ranger for three seasons.
The 23-year-old winger has been loaned out to three clubs – including tomorrow's opponents Carlisle United – since arriving at North End in July 2005.

He has made just eight substitute appearances in a Preston shirt in that time, and Anyinsah is determined to improve those statistics over the coming months – by forcing his way into the starting line-up.

Alan Irvine is giving him the opportunity to prove his worth, having extended his contract at the end of last season and playing the Bristol-born player in all the friendlies to date.

Anyinsah told the Evening Post: "I'm definitely hoping to have a future here.

"I've been away on loan for most of the time I've been here so hopefully this is the season when I break through and make a name for myself at Preston.

"It's been slightly frustrating going out loan but everything happens for a reason in life and I picked up plenty of experience during those loan spells.

"Hopefully now I'm back I can prove myself here. The gaffer is really good to work with – all the lads will tell you the same.

"The training is very good and everything is well organised.

"We've worked hard over the last few weeks. The trip to Austria was a tough one but everyone has looked very fit since coming back."

Anyinsah spent three months at Carlisle last season, starting 10 League One games and three in the FA Cup.

The Cumbrian club tried to extend his stay, but Irvine recalled him to Deepdale in January and later loaned him to Crewe.

He's 23 now and still not made any impression. I wish the lad all the luck in the world, really hope he makes it but history is not on his side, very few players achieve the grade so late in their short careers. Prove us wrong Joe.

Now where has that moaning, negative seagull Bexi gone to? We have a player coming back in from the cold, stating he wants to work hard and get back in the team? Or is the man manager Al doing his job and doing it very well too much for her to come on and moan, without bothering to comment on these positives that are coming out of Deepdale? Another sign of the great work our leader is doing.

This guy deserves a chance, Ive seen him in a few reserve games and he got plenty of energy and skills.

Sorry, to play the same old record but has anyone got any new news on who we are supposedly looking at striker wise?

Trevor, everyone appreciates that Sedge tries hard and if his job was to defend, he'd be OK.
Problem is, we need someone to create chances and give us pace (or even trickery) down the flanks, then whip in a decent cross for Mellor and Brown.
Sedge has no pace (in fact he must be one of the slowest players we've EVER had), little trickery, no goal threat and the vast majority his crosses either sail into touch or plop into the keeper's hands.
Four assists in the whole of last season despite playing nearly every game plus he averages about one goal in every 23 appearances (!!!).
Hardly a great return from a position we rely on to be creative.
Like I say, we all appreciate that he tries hard with what little ability he's got, but as post number 3 said – Anyinsah can't be any worse . . .

Kennedy is a left back.

Why in greek buggery do we need another left back unless Matt Hill is on his way?
