A young player from Croston has won a prestigious title during the Wimbledon fortnight.
Ross Watson, 11, trains at South Ribble Tennis & Fitness Centre in Bamber Bridge.

He is already among a select band of 420 children nationwide between the ages of 8-15 who is part of the AEGON FutureStar campaign.

These are the youngsters who are considered to be the best junior players for their age groups.

And the Trinity and St Michael's Primary School pupil underlined that billing last weekend when he won a national tournament staged at Tipton Tennis Academy in Wolverhampton.

Ross lived up his billing as the top seed despite only recently playing again following a knee injury.
