Bamber Bridge have snapped up former Burnley keeper Mike Hale from Fleetwood Town.
He played under Brig boss at Fleetwood and has moved to Irongate in the hope of gaining regular first-team football as opportunities were limited at Highbury due to the form of first-choice Danny Hurst.
Hale ably deputised for Hurst twice during Town's debut season in the Conference North, making a total of nine league and cup appearances.
Fleetwood chairman Andy Pilley said: "Chances for Mike with us have been frustrated by the excellent form of Danny.
"But everybody here knows Mike is an excellent goalkeeper and it's fully understandable he is departing in order to gain first- team football.
"Putting a full season under his belt will enable Mike to show everyone what a good keeper he is.
"Once that is accomplished, I'm sure Conference clubs will again show an interest."
