Former servicemen and women have had their service for Queen and country recognised.
Around 100 veterans gathered on Preston's Flag Market for the special Veterans' Day ceremony.

They were joined by councillors, Preston mayor John Swindells, Fr Timothy Lipscomb and the band of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

Jack Hughes, 83, from Walton-le-Dale was given the Veteran's Badge to recognise his work with the Preston branch of the Royal Naval Association and the Sea Cadets.

And they marched on the town hall amid bursts of applause from the hundreds of people who had gathered to watch.
