There were tears of joy as families rushed to embrace North West soldiers returning home from Afghanistan.
More than 30 Territorial Army (TA) soldiers arrived back at Kimberley Barracks, Deepdale, after a six-month stint in Kabul with the 4th Battalion of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

As TA soldiers, they train in their spare time away from their day jobs.
