A young Preston couple are planning their £10,000 dream wedding - courtesy of the Lancashire Evening Post.
Lucky Emma Cox, aged 22 and Kurtis Bruney, 21, won the LEP's Win A Wedding event - sponsored by loans.co.uk - and will now walk down the aisle at Mawdsley's Hotel, Conference & Leisure Centre, Hall Lane in Mawdsley.

Shocked winner Emma, of Frenchwood Street, said: "I'm ecstatic but very shocked. We didn't really have any wedding plans - just one in Preston, where we're from."

Emma and Kurtis met on a night out at Manyanas in Preston a year-and-a-half ago and got engaged on holiday in the Caribbean nine months ago.

The pair are saving up for a house and have two daughters - two-week-old Phoenix and Demi, three.

Emma, who is on maternity leave from New Look in Preston, said: "My friends will be shocked. Things come in threes - the baby being born, Kurtis getting a new job at the Carphone Warehouse and now winning a wedding."

Kurtis said: "I can't believe it. I had just literally finished work when Emma phoned me and told me - it's been a crazy month. I'm really looking forward to it."

The Lancashire Evening Post received around 6,500 entries for the competition and 100 people were invited to the prize draw on Tuesday evening.

The couple has won a wedding dress, bridesmaid's dresses, venue, meals, champagne, limousine for the day, honeymoon at a five-star hotel in Yorkshire, groom's and usher's wear and an £800 jewellery voucher.
