The scent of fresh flowers
Proud gardeners in South Ribble are opening their flower beds to the public for the seventh year.
The annual Garden Trail will take visitors through the floral offerings of gardens in Walmer Bridge, Little Hoole and Much Hoole, all near Preston, on Sunday.
Ten gardens in the villages will be open to the public, with plant stalls and a brass band concert along the route.
Tickets cost £2 for adults with children admitted free.
All money raised is going to St Catherine's Hospice and the North West Air Ambulance.

Hotline to shop smokers
A hotline number has been launched to shop members of the public who break the new smoking legislation.
Fylde Council is introducing the phoneline so people can report breaches of the law.
There are three types of enforcement – the first is a fixed penalty notice for smokers who ignore the legislation and the other two are targeted at business owners who can be fined for failing to display the correct non-smoking signs or for knowingly allowing smoking to take place on their premises.

Drink driver fined £200
A motorist who was caught over the drink-drive limit has been fined £200.
Patrick Curley, 18, of Elm Grove, Ribbleton, Preston, pleaded guilty to driving with 57 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Preston magistrates fined him £200 and banned him from driving for 12 months.
Bike stolen at village farm
Thieves stole a girl's bike from a farm on Bleasdale Road, Whitechapel, near Preston.
The lilac and pink bike worth £100 was taken sometime between 8.30am and 4pm on Wednesday.
Det Sgt Peter Yates, from Preston police crime desk, urged all cyclists to keep their bikes secure when left unattended.
Pickpocket stole purse
An opportunist thief reached into a handbag and stole a purse from a customer at the Cattle Market Hotel in Brook Street, Plungington, Preston.
The black zip purse contained a driving licence and store cards.
Clubs stolen from shed
Wilson golf clubs and crates of lager were stolen from an unlocked garden shed in Ramsey Avenue, Holme Slack, Preston.
The items, worth £600, including a Flymo lawnmower, were taken sometime
during Tuesday night.
Man had six bags of drugs
A man found in possession of six self-seal bags of cannabis has been fined £50.
David O'Leary, 42, from Lily Grove, Holme Slack, Preston, pleaded guilty to the drugs possession offence at Preston Magistrates Court.
Driver over the drink limit
A motorist has been ordered to carry out 200 hours' unpaid work after pleading guilty to being nearly three times over the drink drive limit at Preston Magistrates' Court.
James Wright, 25, from Bowlingfield, Ingol, Preston, had 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, with the legal limit being 35 microgrammes.
First glimpse of art deco hotel
Thirty-five people became the lucky first to see the restored interior of Morecambe's landmark art deco Midland Hotel.
The tour on Friday was shown Urban Splash's £10m restoration of the 1930s hotel as part of National Architecture Week.
Further tours of the 46 bedroom hotel are planned before it re-opens to the public in the spring.
