Blackburn Cathedral is hosting a special county service to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday ... and you could be part of it.

The Queen celebrated her birthday on April 21, but the service will be held on Sunday June 12 at 10.30am.

Now the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, Lord Shuttleworth KCVO, is inviting anyone who also celebrated a birthday on 21 April, or who is 90 this year, to come along and be part of the very special occasion.

The event will also be attended by representatives of the Lancashire Lieutenancy, Mayors and Mayoresses, Members of Parliament of all the districts, along with members of the county’s emergency services, recipients of National Honours and winners of The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and The Queen’s Award for Enterprise. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to contact the Lancashire Lieutenancy Office on 01772 533 364 as soon as possible or email lieutenancy@lancashire.gov.uk
