A local Friday night street soccer programme is hoping to find the next World Cup star. Chorley-based company Freestyle Urban Soccer has launched a free, weekly programme at Buttermere Green, Chorley, to help keep children active this summer.

Paul Maloney, director of Freestyle Urban Soccer said: “So far, our sessions have engaged with more than 4,700 people and this year we aim to reach out to more people than ever before. Who knows, we might have a future world cup star right here in Chorley.”

The sessions have been funded by Chorley Community Housing’s community grant scheme, for more details visit: www.freestyle-urban-soccer.co.uk .
